The Renault Master van range is practical, strong and economical, capable of carrying substantial loads as well as featuring high levels of active and passive safety. The Master van is a functional vehicle that works perfectly for professional situations, arriving with many useful features as standard. It has also been engineered with Renault's customary levels of interior comfort, making it a an excellent location from which to work. Commanding and imposing, the Master van cuts an assertive stance on the road. At the front of the vehicle, features such as the chrome grille and slanted headlights enhance its rugged figure, while the sides of the vehicle are smooth and functional and provide superb levels of access to the interior cabin. Alloy wheels are available in 16" models, and 10 different colours are available to customise the exterior, including metallic paints.
Inside, the driver's seat and steering column are both adjustable. There is a closed glovebox, as well as two cup holders on the centre console. The trip computer is multifunctional and comes with a rev counter, and selected models have manual air conditioning with a pollen filter available to them. Multimedia functions include a DAB radio with CD player, as well as USB and Bluetooth® functionality.
A wide range of 2.3 litre diesel engines is available to power the Master van range. All offer manual or semi-automatic transmission, as well as respective power outputs of 110hp, 125hp, 135hp, 150hp and 165hp. The most powerful of these can propel the Master to 62mph in 12 seconds. The most fuel-frugal variants, on the other hand, can return combined fuel consumption of 39.2mpg, and CO2 emissions of 190g/km.
Safety features include a driver's airbag, three-point height-adjustable seatbelts with pre-tensioners, and four disc brakes. Drive safety assistant systems include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), which monitors the current drive situation and applies stability and traction adjustments depending on the quality of the road surface. Renault's new generation of Electronic Stability Control (ESC) includes Hill Start Assist, Grip Xtend and Trailer Swing Assist as standard on each Master van.
